Theo felt all the feelings.
Mad. Sad. Worried.
They swirled like a storm.
He stomped.
He sniffled.
He hid under a table.
Then he had an idea.
He grabbed pillows and a blanket.
He built a box.
He climbed in.
“I’m safe here,” he whispered.
Inside, he named each feeling.
“Mad—because my tower fell.”
“Sad—because Daddy’s at work.”
“Worried—because I might spill paint again.”
He hugged his knees.
He took a deep breath.
Then he peeked out.
The storm felt smaller.
Theo popped his head out.
“Mom?” he said.
“I made a feeling fort!”
Mom smiled.
“That’s a big idea for a small box.”
